I will graduate with a Math B.S. in may, but i will go to city college to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering first, and then grad school in mechanical , so this will have to wait two more years. I decided that engineering is better for what i like to do building stuff (i loved my legos). Pure math though interesting was getting too complicated and would have led me to an early death due to stress (i really don’t like sitting by desk and looking at proofs more than 2hrs) lol.

i really have to start thinking about it now because next semester i will be a senior and don’t want to leave things last minute. I’m thinking of City College of New York for the school. But don’t know if to continue with Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics or Mechanical Engineering. Pure or Applied involve a lot of theoratical studies which drive me insane sometimes, but I would like to be a Math professor in a college. Physics and Engineering are math with applications which i find really interesting; i could also teach. But, since i’m just a Mathematics major right now I would have to go back and take a couple of undergraduate courses in physics and engineereing to be able to get my masters. Something that I wouldn’t mind doing except for the fact that it would mean an extra one or two semesters and more money.
I’d like to go to Brown for math. hopefully i can get some type of scholarship. if not i’ll go to a cuny. well no matter where, i got to start applying for stuff soon, man i hate this making deadlines crap.
