If I had the food available I would have marked this goal as done a long time ago, but the sad fact is my family does not like healthy food. They rather waste their money on junk food. Since I’m struggling to pay for college and am currently unemployed, I don’t have the option of buying my own food. I have to eat what they buy, so it’s very hard to eat right at my house. I do what I can though.

Eating more fruits and vegetables and limiting myself on “bad for you” foods makes me feel so much better! I have so much more energy and I am able to eat more food because I am eating less calories. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to do this. I still won’t mark this goal as done though because I believe the true test is in the long-run. So, if in about 6 months I am still eating healthy, and I truly believe I will be, then I can mark this as done. Woohoo!
After de-railing and eating nothing but junk food for a week my body felt sluggish and just plain awful, so I switched back to eating healthy. I have definitely noticed a difference in how my body responds to healthy food. I have the energy to make it through the day and I actually have less cravings. I don’t feel hungry because if you’re eating the right foods you can eat more. Vegetables are so low in calories you can end up eating a lot for not many calories. Every now and then I do get the craving for something fried or a big slice of cake. Instead of depriving myself, I’ll have the fried food, but make sure I don’t go overboard. With the sweets I’ll have a small piece of it and try to cut back on my total daily caloric intake. I try to “make room” for extra calories if I need to. Depriving yourself is no way to win; you will quickly de-rail and go on an eating binge. I’ve been there…so the key to success is MODERATION!
chocolate is impossible to resist!
i can’t stop eating chocolate…almost half of what i’ve been eating lately is chocolate or has it in it. so much for healthy…
Well I’ve noticed that since I started working in produce, I crave fruits a lot more. I used to hate apples, but now I’m eating different types of apples.I even bring a banana with me for lunch everydaay. So I’d say it’s a step in the right direction.
...but kelly has gotten me addicted to Diet Dr. Pepper. I used to hate that stuff too, but for some odd reason she got me into drinking it and now I love the stuff and find it tastes the same as regular Dr. Pepper. Since this has 0 calories, I classify it as a healthier food, because it is healthier than regular soda right?
Healthy food just isn’t good : /
I will probably never reach this goal.
I’d rather just eat chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate.
