So, I’ve not posted anything for a while, so I feel like mixing things up a bit. The motivation from this comes from having watch The West Wing for several seasons, and the issue keeps coming up.
Do you think it should be illegal in America to burn an American flag?
Do you think it should be illegal in any country to burn an American flag?
Do you think in America it should be illegal to burn any nations flag?
Do you own an American flag?
Do you feel that American’s view their own flag differently then people of other nations view their flags?
Have you ever burnt a flag?
Are you American?
I’m going to have a cup of tea, and then I’ll post my thoughts on the matter.

Have you ever searched Google for something and found your own post on 43 Things come up as the first result?
I have, once, but foolishly didn’t think to record what it was for, and now it’s going to bug me! And I’ve seen other people mention it in threads too, so I’m curious as to weather it happens frequently.

There seems to be a good number of people who are Bi-Lingual, or Multi-Lingual on 43T. So…
Does anyone have any great tips, advice or methods for learning a new language?
Any thoughts would be great to hear. ;o)

I noticed on the “Who would you want on a desert island” question lots of people picked Bear Grylls, but no one else besides myself (At the moment) picked Ray Mears?
So I’m curious as to why that might be? What do you look for in your choice of expert? Are there other experts who deserve a mention as well?

Tell us about a book that has changed your life in some way.
Could be fiction or non, profound and enlightening, or just silly and at the right time, doesn’t matter.
If you don’t want to give details just name the book and author

When you tell people what your tattoos mean, do you tell a different story to what it really means to you personally?
For instance, I knew a girl who had the Chinese symbol for “slave” on her foot, but used to tell most people it meant “beauty”

Have you ever been refused entry anywhere? (Club, restaurant etc)
Why?
How did you feel about it?
What did you do then?

One for all your journal keepers out there:
What is your approach to journalling when you travel?
I’m trying to figure out how I want to approach my own travel journal, but two things come to mind: I’ll want to keep these journals for ever but when I’m traveling they’ll be at their most vunerable to been lost or damaged.

This morning, someone in my office forwarded me and everyone else a message that had already been forwarded along about 10 times, each time with to between 10 and 20 different people.
The gist of the origional email is “Forward this on, Microsoft will track it, and the more people who get it, the more money they’ll give you.” – I didn’t read the details.
Since this is so obviously a classic email forward spam message, would it be wrong of me to harvest every email address forwarding on this message, and tell them not to forward on messages like this again in the future?
How do you normally respond to emails telling you to forward them on to other people?
