A friend decided to do this for her birthday last night, so a whole bunch of us gathered to watch the film, and proceed to get very, very drunk.
I only semi took part, I don’t drink whisky so replaced that with either more sherry, or more ouzo. And we used margaux 2003, 50 years the junior of the one in the film, but about £2000 cheaper ;o)
It all turned a bit chaotic towards the end, not least because we ran out of table space to get things ready in advance, so had to pause lots. But I did a good effort, and actually, I don’t have a hang over. Ha!
It’s a fun game to play, but you need a small number of people, have all the drinks pre-poured. Fully matching drink for drink isn’t a great plan, but we used a “some of what they drink” basis, and it works well… Plus, it’s always better to do at someone else’s house give then high vom risk factor.
