Doing all I can to avoid working on my ecology class has been a real boon for this goal!
Instead of reading chapters and typing up assignments, Ive been thumbing through magazines, cutting out pictures, printing off images, and starting to arrange them on the board.
I completed the background a couple weeks ago but have yet to glue anything else down, as I want to have everything there before I do a final arrangement. There are still many images I need to find, so Im not sure if I’ll be able to do the reveal on Thanksgiving Eve, but we’ll see.

giving this another go
might join in on the Thanksgiving Eve reveal, all depends upon how much luck I have finding the words, phrases, and pictures that I want~

Attached stickers, scrapbooking papers, magazine cut-outs to my board…but Ive set it aside for now. Trying to focus on the present moments and not think so much about the future~

On Wednesday night I found myself struck by motivation and was able to glue the background – white clouds floating in blue sky – onto the poster board. This is a big step for me, as it means I can start gluing my words and images and stickers on the vision board. Though I will probably wait until I have covered the back of the board with the same paper; I need to use both sides~

Wow am I struggling with this. My issues: I don’t know how to arrange everything; I don’t know how to fit everything; I don’t have the identical sixth piece for my background (a piece of paper that shows sparkling water); I dont know how Im going to store or transport the board once its done; Im worried that the glue will ruin my magazine clippings; and Im wondering if I just shouldnt make a vision book, but really I find a vision board – with it all there to see – more inspiring. * sigh *
hey maybe I should get the thing laminated once – if ever – its done! that would help protect the board from damage, which is another issue I have lol. Oh bah humbug with this whole project. * sighs again *

I wasn’t feeling 100% with the shade of blue of my poster board. Normally I probably would’ve let it go, but as this is my vision board, I want it to be exactly what I want. So off to the art supply store to find the right shade of blue – which I did – and the new board is actually thicker and much larger than the other one so I am quite happy with it. Then…
I went to Jo-Ann Fabrics this afternoon and had an absolute field day in the scrapbooking section. My god what a treasure trove!! I walked out with about 50 pieces of paper: shimmering water, tropical beach, green and red apples, blue sky with fluffy white clouds, fairytale paper with glitter writing and a castle, Christmas theme, dewy grass…I found so many inspiring images and words I almost couldn’t handle it. Will definitely be back for more soon!!
I feel like I can finally move ahead with gluing now that I have these supplies. Don’t think I’ll finish by tomorrow night, so I’ll make it my personal challenge again for this coming week.

...which has given me an extra boost of motivation to get moving on this goal. Couple that with today’s holiday – no work! – and I’ve been making strides. I’ve gone through many magazines and clipped words & pictures for my vision board. So, I’ll continue that today and maybe even start gluing this evening or tomorrow.

Just bought three pieces of poster board (white, sky blue, and neon yellow), glitter pens, felt finetip permanent markers in 24 lovely colours, and rubber cement. Now I just need to gather magazines, brainstorm, and then we can begin this fun project~
