But my interest has been rekindled since I started building my screenscraping application. I’m using ActiveRecord to save the information I scrape, and it just happens that the next chapter in the book is the ActiveRecord chapter.

I haven’t cracked this book in 2 weeks. I will this weekend, though.
I’m working through all of the examples, typing them in by hand. This gives me a chance to see what happens when I have a typo or miss a step entirely. It can be frustrating, but I think I’m learning the framework more thoroughly.
Just finished Chapter 6…very cool stuff. I looked ahead to see if there is as much scaffolding support for calling a web service as there is for a database. It doesn’t look like it, but the ability to call a web service is there, at least.
