Finished!  — 2 years ago

Hey, that wasn’t so hard. I used a wool/silk/cashmere blend - should be very warm - two balls for the main colour and part of one for the accent stripe. I pretty much just knit garter stitch on size 1 needles (7.5 mm) until I was out of wool!

another attempt  — 2 years ago

The weather has cooled to a consitent level now so I feel like I can knit again. So, skinnier scarf, simple garter stitch, using some wool I’ve been saving for “something nice for myself.” So far, I’ve knit about 8-inches out of probably 48 total. Not bad for part of one evening.

Frogged it.  — 3 years ago

The scarf I’d been knitting turned out to be far too thick and far too wide, so I frogged the whole thing last night. I think I will start again soon, but I need to find a simple pattern rather than just wing it.

Got a few more rows done  — 3 years ago

I still think it is too wide, but since it’s straight knit stitch, it will stretch. Anyway, I metup with some other knitters on Saturday afternoon and knit a few more rows (maybe a dozen?). At this rate I might get it done before October, but I’m not sure.

It’s maybe a bit too wide, but it is underway. I am using chunky/bulky weight acrylic in brown and orange and the first three stripes are done.
