After completely ignoring this goal over the holidays (travel, kids out of school etc.) I finally buckled down & got serious about cleaning up my diet—and I lost 7# this week, yay! I’m revising my goal down to 160, I can do this!
I weighed in at 276 lbs. So that’s my baseline; I want to lose 96 lbs. to get back down to 180. Some people would blanch & shudder at that large of a number (hi Mom) but I think it will be a healthy goal.
Audrey, I know what you mean about not being able to bring this up with thin friends—I went off on one (well-meaning) stick-friend the other day who was going ON and ON about how she sympathized with my weight struggles, and how fat she was, she needed to lose five pounds, yada yada. Honey, you have no idea.
So let’s help each other out; I’m in! :)
