go to more concerts

I think that is the worst part of living in Phoenix! No good concerts ever come here. I never realized! I thought this was a big enough city to get good bands coming through (5th largest city!!).

Maybe we will plan to see a band when we are in Chicago or San Francisco next. We were all surprised when we moved here and everyone we knew got tix to see Dave Matthews. I mean, he is good…but really? I don’t think of it as a must see since the late 90’s. Now I know why…..he is the only big act to come through here in months.

I went to see Sean Lennon at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on Sunday night. The venue is very small and intimate and we were standing only a few feet from the stage. Sean is really amazing, I have so much respect for him as an artist. I LOVE his new album and he played all my favorite songs as well as Mystery Juice from his first album.

I had never seen Sean in concert and thought he was very charismatic and funny.

I went to see the Dark Star Orchestra on March 30th at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco! It was an amazing show, as always. I really love Dark Star and I love the crowds at the shows. The concert venue was sick, such a small place and all general admission so we could move about and get really close to the stage. They also have food and their garlic fries are killer! I am going to have to keep a look out for when they are in town next!
