Since being on hiatus, everyday is pointless fun. It’s now that I’m fully appreciating the greatness of my carefree days.
Now, I’m ready to move onto my next goal of radiating joy from my core. This is my next big challenge.

Stopping and smelling the flowers on my daily walks is a good way to experience gratitude.
I scream
You scream
We all scream for ice cream
On my walk home today, I came across a small ice cream place. It was my first ice cream cone of the year. I got a chocolate chip mint scoop on a sugar cone. I love sugar cones. This one was crunchy and tasty. Yummy! I’m so happy. It made me feel like a kid. Happiness in a lick of ice cream.
On a whim, I decided to check out one of Toronto’s contemporary art galleries – The Power Plant. One of the exhibits scared the bajeepers out of me. Gurneys, empty airline conveyor belt, and dead silence. Geez! It was creepy! After walking through the other exhibits I decided to see the creepy exhibit again to see what my reaction would be after knowing what to expect. It was meaningful the second time around. I got that the artists were speaking to the desolation of being herded by unseen hands.
This wasn’t really fun but it was educational and spontaneous.
I didn’t plan anything for today, so I went to a coffee house, and melted into their divinely soft cushions and read. I had a fun time being absorbed into my magazine articles and book. Usually the surrounding noise and sights around me are too distracting for reading but today was great. By the time I left the skies had cleared up to allow the sun through!
Bought a box of pecan shortbread cookies today. I rarely buy cookies, and I thoroughly enjoyed these. Ate half a box in one sitting! It feels like many of my pointless fun things involve food. Hmmmm…
Had a great conversation over sushi with a fabulous bunch of women tonight. It wasn’t pointless cause the connection was true. But, have to say: it was fun.
Read the recent Esquire article on Dave Chapelle. I love the guy. Too bad he had a falling out with his show. The second season DVD is simply great. It was fun to sit on my sofa and read with the sun lighting up my room.
