Tuesdays with Morrie, by Mitch Albom
A great, great book! With lots of heart, this book reminds me of what’s truly important.

The Five People You Meet In Heaven, by Mitch Albom
I cried a lot reading this book. It was the description of the main character’s life that touched me most. The five lessons he learns were not as clear for me.
The Mastery of Love by don Miguel Ruiz
You changed me. Reading this book, each chapter was a revelation. I had to read one chapter a night for it to sink in, there was so much to marvel over. I love this book.
“I feel bad about my neck” by Nora Ephron
I only meant to sample the first chapter last night and then go back to my serious literature reading, but I ended up devouring this entire book in a couple of hours. It was like telling myself to eat only one potato chip. Who was I kidding?! I’ve been looking forward to this book for months. It was hilarious, touching and hilarious. I loved it.
I get so much comfort out of reading Muriel Spark’s books. I just finished “Loitering with Intent”. I liked the autobiographical pieces weaved into the story, and the unsentimental Fleur.
Symposium by Muriel Spark
Another excellent book by Spark. I’m becoming a huge fan of her’s.
Peter Carey’s “My Life As A Fake”
This is an incredibly readable book with the oddest, most maddening plot.
Pablo Bernasconi’s “The Wizard, The Ugly and the Book of Shame”
The illustrations in this book were spectacular.
“The Finishing School” by Muriel Spark
I like Spark’s storytelling; there’s an absurdity to the things that happen in her books and she makes no moral judgements on her characters at all. She also has a sharp understanding of human nature, which makes her books fascinating. I imagine her to be the constant observer, watching and synthesizing everything she sees, and being almost 90 years old I’m sure she’s seen a lot.
All 7 of the Harry Potter books.
And “Brokeback Mountain” by Annie Proulx. This is the most beautiful love story I’ve ever read.
