what do i have to do to lose weight? 2 days ago

I stopped the snacking on peanut m&m’s. I have healthy snacks like yogurt at work. I have water and fruit juice. I do cardio at least 4 days a week. Sometimes more. I do it as much for my mental health as my physical. I just don’t feel as good on the days I don’t exercise. Something feels missing. Yet I’ve gained 18 pounds since July. I know part of it is that I went on a medication that causes weight gain. Except for my stomach, my legs and arms look trim. I don’t have a double chin. One woman thought I was pregnant so I’ve got to change this cycle somehow. I’m throwing the shirt I was wearing at the time away! LOL The only thing I’m not doing is counting calories for every meal. On line weight watchers was helpful. Maybe I should do them again.

working and snacking just seem to go together. have a stressful morning? I sure deserve a bag of peanut m&m’s! I need to find a reward other than food when I feel stressed. How about a walk around the building or sit outside in the sun a few minutes? I also need to decrease the amount of salt along with the sugar. Salt retains water. At least I am still exercising.

that’s what they call it when you’re over 40 and the fat goes to your gut and you can’t get rid of it. I figured up that my 2 mile morning walk gives me 14 miles a week. Using the elliptical at the gym 4 times a week gives me another 8 to 12. Generally walking is 2 miles a day times 7 equals 14. I walk around 40 miles a week and can’t lose any weight! I lift weight 4 times. My legs are muscular not fat. It’s all in my stomach. It has to be my diet. Since I have been able to eat again, I haven’t been mindful about the fruits and veggies. Lots of carbs but the cravings have been unreal!Time for online weight watchers again? I’m glad I can generally hide the gut with my clothes. If it weren’t for the exercise, I’d probably weigh 20 pounds more!

People who see me think I’ve lost a lot of weight. What a mystery. I have been exercising so maybe the muscles I’m developing are holding in the fat better. My legs look good from all the walking. It’s my gut that needs help. But no corset! Those things are like a tourniquet!

I think I’ve lost at least 2 more pounds. I’m eating less due to nausea and exercising more because that helps the nausea so I can eat. This is the damndest diet I’ve ever been on. I don’t recommend getting sick so you can lose weight. It has forced me to balance food and exercise in ways I’d never have thought of.

I seem to have lost 5 pounds. Strangely, my sugar craving got better when I gave up Splenda. I am exercising and spending active time cleaning and reorganizing my home. I have also reduced the amount of food I eat. Maybe I can crack the 150s. That would be truly amazing.

but it was because I’ve been feeling too sick to eat. I’d rather lose with exercise and restraining my apetite!



I don't know if I'm losing weight 6 months ago

but I’m not gaining at least. I’ve been nauseated for two months. That goes a long way towards naturally killing your apetite. The foods that nauseate me are greasy and usually meat. I’m tring to slowly become a vegatarian. I found out today that my B12 level is low. You need B12 to digest protein. I’m getting one B12 injection a week for the next three. I got one today and actually feel less tired. I hate feeling that boneless kind of tired. I took a 2 mile walk with my husband. True we took our time but it was exercise. It was nice getting outside and spending time with him, too!

Didn’t exercise. Ate too many cookies. Life just seems better when I have a cookie in my mouth. I did do a lot of walking while grocery shopping today. Perhaps all is not lost. I must avoid beating up on myself. I am doing the best I can.

I’m lightening up on the sweets so I think maybe it was hormonal. I also exercised again today for 45 minutes. I’m not expecting a weight loss at this point. I may join online weight watchers again. I lost 20 pounds with it a few months ago. I’ve only gained 5 pounds back since I’ve been sick. I have kept up the diet changes-more fresh veggies and fruits, more water-sweets have been my down fall. A stumble but not a complete fall.
