Gym Membership 6 months ago

I said I would go to the gym 2x a week as my new year’s resolution, and did for the first few months of the year. I tapered off for a few months, and then started jogging 2x a week. I’m working on getting up to 3x a week.

My new job makes it fairly easy to go to the gym before work, so I’m trying to make that an ingrained habit.



Good progress 15 months ago

I’ve been pretty good about this the last couple of weeks. Being less depressed (now that I have a job) has made this goal much more achievable! I’m excited to continue working on this. I don’t consider it finished because I don’t have a settled routine of going, but I will hopefully once my work starts. I start work at 9:45 in the morning, which gives me plenty of time to go to the gym beforehand. I’ve been twice this week.

I have the flu. I have been putting off going to the gym for the last couple of days because I’ve felt so fatigued, and yesterday I realized I am pretty sick. I’m not going to go to the gym until I get better. Hopefully I’ll be ok by Saturday.

I only went once. I’ll try to go on my own this week, rather than needing my workout buddies to come with me. Maybe I’ll even try to go before work.
I have plans to go after work today. Even if no one wants to go with me, I’ll go anyway.
edit: totally did not go. I’ll try again tonight.



Lazy! 16 months ago

Working means I’m tired and have less time where I actually want to go to the gym. I’ve been once this week, and I only have 4 days left, including today. I’ve started counting the week from Monday, it’s just easier. I’ll go tonight. Both of my diet buddies went this morning, I should go today too.



I haven't been keeping track recently 16 months ago

but I’ve been going to the gym about twice a week. I’ll work a little harder to make it to three times. Did 1 hour today on the recumbent bike; 5 minute warm up at L4, then L6 for 35 minutes, then L7 for 20 minutes, then a cool down of 5 minutes. Burned 250 calories.

it’s friday, and I’ve been 3 times this week! admittedly, I went for 15 minutes the other day and about 20 minutes this morning, but I worked out REALLY hard both times. and monday I did a respectable 30 minutes. Maybe I’ll go again tomorrow to get in a decent chunk of time, but probably not.

I went for the 3rd time last week on friday morning. I did 1/2 an hour on the bike. This week started today; I’ll go tomorrow morning before work as #1.



#2 for the week! 19 months ago

I woke up an hour early and went to the gym! I rode the r. bike for 15 minutes and ran a mile and a quarter (15 minutes). I love going to the gym in the morning, it seems to set a tone of health and success for the whole day. I was supposed to go last night with my friend, but she really wasn’t feeling up to it so we didn’t go. I think I’ll just start going in the mornings by myself. I think I can trust myself to go without the added pressure of worrying about “letting a friend down”, and you can’t really talk while you’re working out anyway. At least, you shouldn’t be able to.
I’ll try to go tomorrow morning for #3, because I know I probably won’t go on Saturday.
