2/20  — 5 months ago

Breakfast:
cheerios and milk (140)
Lunch:
Subway tuna and chips (530 + 230 = 760)
Diet Coke + a coffee: 5
Dinner:
Subway tuna and 1/2 bag of chips (645)
1545 for the day, very close. I’ll let you know tomorrow if I actually stuck to this- I know it’s expensive to eat out twice in one day, but if it helps, it helps, right?

1500 calories per day (day 1 of attempt 100,000,000)  — 5 months ago

so far (10:30 am):
bowl of cheerios: 140
two mini-twix bars: 160
for lunch:
chips: 230
tuna sandwich: 530
coffee: 5
diet coke: 0 (1065 so far)
That leaves me 435 for dinner.
Well, I ended up eating 4 piroshkis and half a plate of smushed pie, but I did go to the gym.
According to the internet, each piroshki is about 450 calories and a large slice of pie is around 400…That means I ate somewhere in the neighborhood of 2200 for dinner last night. I started to purge, and then decided to go to the gym instead, SERIOUSLY cutting down on the shame/guilt factor. I must remember this for future reference. Or just not binge in the first place.

lent  — 5 months ago

my vegetarian/vegan (maybe) for lent thing seems to be helping the weight loss a little. I was pretty restrained yesterday with my eating habits, I ate an english muffin with pb&j, a yogurt (100) for lunch, and two helpings of brown rice casserole (very cheesy and delicious- but lots of veggies) for dinner. I had a large peppermint patty (140) and a pint glass of cheap white wine for dessert.
Today, a pbj english muffin for breakfast, a quarter of a bran muffin for snack (65), and I’ve planned to have a whole bran muffin (250) and a banana for lunch.
Dinner is leftover casserole, I guess. Maybe some broccoli too.

Today  — 5 months ago

No breakfast, a big ol’ burrito for lunch.

major setback  — 5 months ago

I’ve been having a really hard time in the last few weeks…my mom is very sick, and she called me a million times today while I was at work, asking me to call her a cab so she could go to the hospital. It was really hard to deal with, plus it was my first day at a new temp job. I got home, and on autopilot I ordered a large pizza and some cinnastix from Domino’s and ate half the pizza and the whole order of cinnastix. I then proceeded to throw up as much of it as I could. So, that was a pretty big setback in a lot of ways.

bad news means eatin time  — 5 months ago

today I ate at boudin’s, had the clam chowder bread bowl and a diet coke.
Then a box of junior mints at 220
So I’m probably around 1000 or so right now.
I think Lent starts tomorrow. I’ll have to think of something good to give up- maybe cheese.

Starting Fresh- 1500 for today  — 5 months ago

Monday, and I’m back on track. It’s only 10:15, but I’ll edit this over the course of the day to reflect my actual intake.
So far:
1 bite of banana (negligible)
a nutrigrain bar (140)
a granola bar (160) at 11:15
a big “southwestern” salad and a piece of bread (I don’t know. 700)
a fun-size milky way and a hershey’s kiss (60, roughly)
5PM totals: 1060
ok, good. 440 for dinner. Doable.
It’s hard to keep track when you’re eating out and you don’t know the caloric content. I’ll have to get some more soups or something for lunch.
(Edit) For dinner, I ended up eating a tuna steak and some potatoes and onions, all generously coated with olive oil. I don’t know how many calories, probably not TOO many over 500, and I didn’t eat anything afterwards.

Saturday and Sunday  — 5 months ago

very, very bad.
Saturday:
Went to Fresh Choice, ate a ton, barfed. Mostly because I ate a block of tuna salad the size of my head.
For dinner, I ate half of a very rich Cobb salad, and had a bowl of ice cream with raspberries and fudge sauce. And a York peppermint patty, and half a chocolate stout. My sweet tooth is out of control.
Yesterday,
I had a 100-cal yogurt for breakfast, then I ate a cheeseburger with avocado, mushrooms, onions, and fries and a diet coke.
Then I had a super veggie burrito (Everything except the meat) and some chips. And a cup of coffee.
christ, this is madness. I know I allowed myself to not think about dieting on the weekend, but THAT is what happens when I just go hog-wild. I must have had about 3000 calories a day.

Today  — 5 months ago

By 2PM:
orange juice (150)
coffee (5)
Special K bar (90)
Chicken noodle soup (220)
Total: 465, excellent…although I’m still kind of hungry.
By 5PM:
Special K bar (90)
V8 (30)
Total: 585
For dinner, I’m planning ramen and broccoli, with approx. 540 calories in the ramen (update after I get home and actually look at the package…I THINK it’s 270 a serving) and I don’t care about broccoli’s caloric content. For dessert, I’m planning a 90-cal pack of chocolatey rice cakes that are very good and satisfying for a chocolate addict like myself if eaten slowly enough.
I’m really looking forward to weighing myself tomorrow, even though I haven’t really done anything other than accurately measure my normal eating habits.

Try, try again  — 5 months ago

Today (10:20 AM)
2 granola bars @ 140 calories each (280)
I’ll be having a can of soup (clam chowder…not really my favorite, but better than the gumbo my boyfriend bought) @ 420 cal for lunch.
5 pieces of mini chocolate: 210
a donut: 250
a nutrigrain bar: 140
That leaves me with 200 calories for dinner. That’s not going to fly. OH well, I guess my goal for tonight is to come in at 1800.
I did well for dinner, eating a can of spagetti-ohs and a couple of pieces of broccoli (a little more than 500), but for dessert, I ate two big pieces of shortcake (the kind made with bisquick) covered with margarine. Boo.
I probably came in well over 2000.
