I’ve now saved £400 towards my summer holidays, how cool is that!! I put £200 in my account today and have transferred £100 across to the Online Saver, leaving £100 to pay on my credit card.

It’s going reasonably well!!

I’ve just saved £200 towards my summer holidays!

I have two bank accounts with Lloyds, and I do online banking. As I had almost £300 in my normal account from all the overtime I’ve worked lately, I decided that the only way to stop me spending it was to transfer it across to the Online Saver. Which I did and I’m really pleased that I thought of doing that, because now I can’t spend it without making a conscious decision to move the money back to the other account. So I can save it for summer holidays.

I don’t have a lot of money – this much is true. And so this makes it hard to save any money. I’ve sold most of my useless junk on eBay and my savings have certainl grown in the last year but just lately I haven’t been able to put much away.

Well, I’m a minimum wage earner and I only work part-time as it is. Maybe trying to save a few quid is a bit ambitious!

I’ll keep trying.
