Heidi and I have set up a yoga, rock-climbing, and running schedule. This goal is hard for me to stick to.

I know my weight is fine, however I have gained a couple kilos since I arrived in France. I would like to lose them. I want my jeans to fit the way they did before. I hate doing crunches. My stomach is sore. In conjunction with my running routine, I have started doing crunches in a couple of sets a couple of times a day. I know my stomach is sore now but it’ll catch up soon.

Donnie loves my flat stomach and he’s always saying so. He’s very complimentary and he makes me feel very attractive when he’s around. It’s the long distance that’s got me freaked out lol. Anyway, he’s sort of turned into my motivation. I want to work on maintaining the flat stomach that he’s always raving about. I’m sick of feeling like a whale with my extra couple kilos. Which granted, we’re talking about a little less than ten pounds, which isn’t much, but still. I notice the difference. And I know that he still loves me and loves my body no matter what. But he’s still my motivation for doing all those much-despised crunches. I love when he’s kissing my stomach and puts his hand on it and just sounds so amazed at it being flat =)

Is it bad to be motivated by my boyfriend’s attraction to me? I guess everyone says that you ought to do these things for yourself. In a way, I guess I am, because I feel better when I’m at my normal weight. But mainly, I feel much much more whale-like and unattractive when I know I’m a couple kilos up and he’s with me. Even when he’s showing me how much he loves me and how attractive he finds me, I still just feel uncomfortable. So he and myself, maybe it’s a joint motivation?

Just how mortifying – how absolutely horrifying – would it be if he spent all December raving about my flat stomach and never said a word in March?

I am going to start running more often. Which isn’t going to be very hard to do considering how irregularly I run right now. I’m always saying I’ll go out for a run tomorrow…and then I never get around to it.

Today I went running for about half an hour. I would like to start running four times a week: Tuesday morning, Wednesday afternoon, Friday morning, and sometime on Sunday. Wish me luck!
