I’m struggling with this personal goal. This year has been tough and I have grappled with so many things. Discovering that my Mom has Alzheimer’s and being her caregiver for the first half of the year. And then we found out that my biological ‘father’ was dating a 33 year old who is only after him for monetary reasons. Needless to say, I’m doing my best to keep my chin ‘up’ with all of this and more, and my intrinsic motivation comes from the thought that my Mom wouldn’t want me to give up and just collapse into a heap of tears. She’d want me to be the strong and independent woman she raised all of her daughters to be. Tough-as-nails-Texan-Women who can rise above the ashes. That, along with an understanding husband, keeps me going.
