nikon 5200 … gone … so technically that’s progress but i’ve replaced it with an equally sexy (& more pocket friendly) nikon s3. since downsizing is the ultimate goal, will call it progress!

begone ye clutter! 2 years ago

i am dually encouraged in this goal by the sale of one of my snowboards on friday via the marketplace of the strange, aka craigslist. the mantra lately has been the an arrive of something into my posession precipitates the departure of a similar item FROM my posession. has worked really well on keeping the closet from overflowing into the bedroom.

in any case, i’ve discovered that i can rid myself of clutter without acquiring more clutter (and it feel very liberating). here be a good article from the sf times that more aptly describes the particular sensation:

an except:

It is one of the healthiest things you can do. Honest psychologists and good spiritual healers often advise patients with overactive minds and squirrel-like attention spans and problems focusing and problems sleeping, they will tell them not to pop some Ritalin or merely take an herbal tincture and eat more leafy greens, but to go home right now and, yes, clean out your closets. Clear out your clutter. Strip it all to the beautiful essentials and then keep it that way.
