2009 Resolution 11 months ago

I am sticking to my FlyLady routines this year-I’m jumping on one day late, but it’s worth it! Peace is mine in 2009!



Day 8 FLYing 15 months ago

I slacked off a little on Friday and didn’t finish one of Kelly’s challenges. But other than that, I have been very good about following my daily routines as well as morning and night routines. One successful week so far, I just need to keep going at it and getting used to cleaning the house and decluttering. I think I will use tomorrow to catch up on the FlyLady’s book and set some new goals for the week, because while the house is pretty clean, there are still things that haven’t found a “home” yet since we moved.



Day 5 FLYing 16 months ago

I need to read chapter 8 tonight. I am still getting used to having certain things done on certain days (FlyLady delegates a different set of tasks for each day). I am also getting used to having day and night routines. I need to do them faster and more in sync to my day. So far I do them, but at a leisurely pace and not always in order (although they always get done). I think it is making a difference in our household though. This will get harder when I start working again, but if I can have routines set up now, the house will be easier for myself and Keith to manage later, which is all I want.



Day 3 FLYing 16 months ago

I made up morning and night routines to reference, read chapters 6-7 and did the challenge for the day (sent out on the list serve) which was working in the living room. I also did Flylady’s weekly routine, which for Monday is the houseblessing. All in all the hosue is coming along nicely and I’m getting a little bit better at FLYing. Not there yet though.



Day 2 16 months ago

Yesterday was Day 2 for me. So I followed along with both the Flylady book and the email list. A daily August reminder is to take care of Laundry so I went and cleaned out all the laundry in the dryer and put the rest of the dirty clothes in the hamper. Then I did the 27 fling boogie, only I used it to throw out garbage. It works better that way, in my opinion. Then I set my timer for some marathon cleaning and did 15 minutes in the kitchen, 15 in the living room, 15 in the kitchen, 15 in the bathroom, 15 in the kitchen and 15 in the living room. I set up a FlyLady routine for the morning and put one on the fridge and one in my control journal. My husband was really happy to see how clean the house was and I must say I’m happy too. Just got to keep at it everyday.

Shined my sink, I’m reading chapter 2 and signing up for the email list.

I want to do this, but I’ve just moved…so I need to get all my boxes unpacked first!
