My new roommate and I want to build a small dry bar for our dining room. I saw a wine bar in a Crate and Barrel catalog that inspired me. I’m an artist so I’m hoping to put my design skills to work, along with my roomie’s building skills, to create an awesome little bar!

How I did it: I saved up my cash from freelance art work I did over the summer, and then had my friend who knows a lot about computers help me pick out and customize my own HP. Read how I did it…
I just transferred to a store in the city, but I still have the same artist position. Still, that’s good enough for me because I get to keep my wage and health insurance while I go to school, and I don’t have to deal with my sexist, lying boss anymore! Hurrah!
I joined a gym that hasn’t opened yet for a great deal. It was supposed to open in December but it hasn’t, so XSport has given me free time at another gym until the one I signed up for opens. So.. this means I have to take two buses to get there in these nasty Chicago winter conditions… but at least it’s something. Plus.. I’m getting free gym time before my membership officially starts!! I want to start going 3 days a week to start, and definitely be up to 6 (or at the very least 5) days a week by the time the gym near me opens.
