This summer, after graduation, after I gain my inheritance…. I am SO GOING BACK! Hoo-rah!

Plus, I get to see Karla and Hans this November from Germany! Oh my favorite family members in the world! I must talk to them about my bohemian backpacking trip through Europe.

Went to Germany last summer all by myself. Wish I could go again this year. This is me with Thomas and Steffen, a gay couple that is a friend of my Aunt and Uncle’s in Berlin. We were in a bar that night and they had a great live band that played music that reminded me of The Cranberries. I believe I was drinking a Berlinerweisser that night. It’s a famous drink to Berlin, as is Apfelwein to Frankfurt. Most of the time, I was a weisswein trocken kinda gal. That’s dry white wine. Of course, I wasn’t just in Germany to drink. Besides, I was legal. And I had my parents permission. Anywho, I visited museums daily when I stayed in the apartment alone in Frankfurt, and then when I met up with my aunt and uncle we were on the road, seeing many different cities across the land. The clubs are so cool! they play such great music! I also saw the home where my mother was born…and went to the Sachsische Schweiz, a region of rock formations in the countryside. They had a theatre in the valley down beneath the formations, and from all the way up top you can hear the actors down there. My grandfather performed in the exact same place. Germany is the coolest place, but it is also so beautiful. It’s got everything: Modern and old world. I can’t wait to see more of Europe someday.
