find something to be thankful for everyday

the little things or maybe not so little…
my car was able to get & pass inspection
so I don’t have to worry about parking the car on the street

was a worry because the engine light has been on
but it was cleared as of this morning
now of course the next problem:
finding & solving the problem of the engine light

Celebrated my friend’s birthday on Friday after work
Spent Saturday with my sister & niece, my mom came over for dinner
and got a chance to spend some time with my brother-in-law too
Sunday I was able to get some holiday shopping in.

We were also lucky because my sister literally helped to rescue her husband’s aunt. She is now in the hospital and getting much needed medical care.

And it appears that my brother-in-law’s mom is going to be okay after a post-surgical scare.

I happened across somebody’s website & they posted a 2009 Tax Form Return with instructions. Under taxable income this is listed:

Illegal Activities: Income from illegal activities, such as money from dealing illegal drugs, must be included on your income Form 1040, line 21 or on Schedule C or etc…

That gave me a good laugh.

i think i may be keeping my job
I was prepared for the worst & thought I’d be getting laid
off as of Friday but by tomorrow I’ll know for certain

Good news boss said it looks like I’ll be staying
Better news I’m finally making moves for myself

although it needs correcting
i’m not sure how difficult it is to apply highlights
but she gave me huge chunks in the front & the crown & then
left other areas completely dark
i’ve called her but haven’t heard back I hope to get this fixed before Nov. 25 on the upside I like my cut

over the weekend I met a 2 year old w/ cri du chat. It’s a genetic disorder effecting the larynx, among other areas of the body, whereby the baby sounds like a cat’s meow when he or she cries. It was sad to see how difficult of a time the child has communicating and even getting around on her own, my 9 month old niece is further advanced in her motor skills. But it was great to see how well her parents are with their child, even teaching her sign language. It was great to see her smiling when we sang her favorite song to her.

though I shouldn’t include myself so much in
mix as I haven’t been putting in the same time
as everybody else

but still there’s a light at the end of the tunnel

possibly getting my hair done too

fighting a cold & hoping I’m better by tomorrow
a slice of pizza that hit the spot
nice conversation
confused by a text but I’m glad he contacted me

from H.S. on a regular basis has been making really happy
been feeling hopeful
even with this crazy stuff going on

though at this point I’d rather finish the day & make the money

saving on lunch
coffee & a jelly donut
