Week of 8/26

Adventure:

I left for Cape Cod on 8/25. It’s been fantastic week so far. Vacationing a few more days.

Our activities have included:
Trips to the local beaches.
Mini-golf
Kayaking
A 3 hour long bike expedition
Taking the Hy-line to Martha’s Vineyard
Sight-seeing
and shopping

So far everything has been wonderful. We even lucked out and found a 5 star restaurant in a most unassuming location.

Loving every minute of the trip. Tonight we are going to have more fun in the sun at the beach & I’m hosting a BBQ tonight!

Wishing I could get another week of Cape Cod living!



Week of 8/19

So far, so good.

Action:

Sticking to my dietary regimen & I’ve lost a total of 4.5 lbs. I’m hoping to hit a 5 lb loss by Saturday.

Trip to Ikea. I had been hoping to find a relatively inexpensive computer table/bookshelf. To no avail. Instead I picked up a lampshade and a waste paper basket that I”m using for my recycling cans.

Ah yes, got my first laser treatment on Monday. It was slightly painful but I was happy with the technician’s job thus far. 5 more treatments to go.

Adventure:

Another concert in the park. We saw Chris Allen from “American Idol”, Ryan Starr a new-comer & he was really amazing. As well as Daniel Powter who sings “You Had a Bad Day”.

Week of 8/12

Action:

Happy to report my diet is on track. Since creating a healthy deficit in my daily calories by 400/day, I’ve managed to lose weight. Exercise is key. And I’ve been able to maintain a weekly regimen.

My apartment is still coming along. Projects are a slow go because weather has gotten in my way of progress. I was able to buy supplies so that when the opportunity presents itself I can continue to work on them.

Adventure:

I enjoyed a free outdoor concert on Saturday (8/14)

Yesterday 4 girls (me, mom, sis & my niece) spent a day at the zoo.
We had fun observing the animals. The highlight however, was the 4D Dora & Diego 10 minute video.

My sis. said it was my niece’s first movie. 10 mins was perfect time to have a 2 year old sitting.

Here’s a pic of a very entertaining Sea Lion. He was super funny & learned to work the crowd =0)



On Track

Action:

Make calls to friends & family (Especially to S. & P.)
I was able to connect with S. for a good hour yesterday & a brief chat with P. but waiting for him to give me a call back.

Set up date for BBQ
See above. Need P’s confirmation

Schedule “must” appointments
I have one appt set for Monday

Keep exercise & diet on track

Working on DIY projects
Continuing

Adventure:

Meetup with local vegetarian/vegans for dinner
Went out last night. I had a nice time.

Take a bike tour of my (new-ish) neighbor 1x this week, using this exercise as a substitute for my walk/run routine

Hike at the beach
Sadly had to cancel b/c of predicted storms

Bonus adventure:
Got to the beach with mom & my niece Lauren on Thursday. Lauren & I had a great time in the ocean & building sandcastles.



Week of 8/5

Action:

Make calls to friends & family (Especially to S. & P.)
Set up date for BBQ
Schedule “must” appointments
Keep exercise & diet on track

Let's go August...I'm ready for adventure & always up for action

Action:

Kick my career into high gear.
Make the scale my best friend. Knowing every week the number WILL drop!
Keep exercising & have fun doing it.
Attend yoga classes (also falls under adventure).

Adventure:

Get ready for my family trip to Cape Cod.
Go kayaking
Make sure to attend the hike’s @ the beach and hang out for fun afterwards.
See a concert or a play
