So here’s what else I’ve done.
1. I now wash my clothes in only cold water.
2. I just moved in with my sister, who never use to recycle. So I’ve taken it upon myself to start recycling for her.
That’s all I can think of for now.

I’m not doing badly, I’m just not doing well enough. I use way more napkins/ tissues/ paper towels than I need. Half the time I forget my reusable grocery bags. I’ve been buying more things individually wrapped for diet purposes. And I use way too many post its at work.
On the other hand. I only drink my water from a nalgene bottle. I borrow books from the library. I recycle all the bottles I end up using. I wash my laundry in warm/cold instead of warm/warm or hot. I take really short showers.
But, I could still wash my laundry in cold/cold. Stop using paper plates/cups/napkins all together. Get a tea strainer instead of using tea bags. Drive way less. Think before I print something. Request only electronic statements from my banks/accounts. Buy locally grown/ made products.
And there’s about a million other things I can do, but let’s start there.
So what can I do to my daily routine that will decrease my carbon footprint?
1. Don’t turn on the shower until I’m about to go in.
2. Dry my hands with a dish towel instead of paper towels.
3. Pay my bills electronically.
4. Start buying second-hand clothing again.
5. Use tupperware instead of plastic bags.
6. Use reusable bags instead of plastic bags at the grocery store.
