win nanowrimo 2005

just crossed 40,000 words. hopefully i’ll actually be productive over the weekend and cross 50,000 but i’m not holding my breath.

I should cross the half way mark tomorrow. Hopefully I can keep up this pace through the end of the month and get this whole story written. Chances are I’ll get to 50,000 and kill off all my characters just to get it over with though.

And I actually made it to 11,051 words. This is going far better than I imagined it would. It just seems like it’s taking so incredibly long for the story to progress. There’s no way it’s going to be even close to done once I reach 50,000.

I’m surprised I was actually able to get 4,188 words done in the first day. I haven’t written yet today, but I’ve still got plenty of time, and I’m ahead of schedule anyway. I need to go finish up my essay for english now.

I did it in ‘03. Last year I didn’t even attempt it as I was bogged down with studies and other things. I haven’t gotten a very strong start yet(only 750 words), but I also have to write an essay for my english class today, so that’s my excuse so far. Luckily that class ends tomorrow, so hopefully after that I will have plenty of free time. I’ve done it before, I know I can do it again.
