I had to withdraw from two of my classes because i just couldn’t handle it… I am doing well in the classes I stayed in though, I think. I’m starting to think that maybe art school just isn’t for me. My art is so personal that I don’t know if I can be happy making it into a career. Plus, the school is SO expensive. I’ve been seriously thinking about going culinary school. There’s a program at a school here to become a pastry chef that’s only 15 months long and the tuition for the entire program is about 8 thousand dollars less that what I’m paying for just 1 year(of 4) at my current school.
I’ve always had the thought of working in a bakery in the back of my mind since I was a child. I really enjoy baking and I would LOVE to have my own bakery/cafe and perhaps I can work in my artist interests as well and use the walls as gallery space for local artists.
It’s something to be excited about I think.
