I used one today for a small purchase that really wasn’t necessary. I’m also planning to use one to buy a half a cow but that’s a whole ‘nother story. At least I’m playing with cash for the CSA. 625 buckaroos for 19 weeks plus a fruit share. It’s actually not bad broken down weekly but wasn’t expecting to have to put it all up front. Good thing I went with the 2 person share instead of the 4. That was over $1000. For veggies. Sheesh.

This has actually been harder than thought. Evidently we have been living beyond our means for quite awhile or it wouldn’t be so hard to not use these. I pretty much just leave them home and force myself to make wiser choices. Except for the plane tickets and hotel room for DH’s 30th in July (should be enough time to pay off) I haven’t used them for anything. Very proud but also very surprised that we relied on them so much.
but credit card companies are predatory and unethical. I know I’m the one that mixed up my payment and paid 2 days late but I’m so angry that they have managed to drag out my worst emotions in me. In fact I’m crying right now because I can’t break up with them yet. I’m gonna have to find a way to pay all these “unexpected” expenses that manage to creep into my budget every flippin month without their flippin help and find a way to pay them off and of course crack down on most frivolous spending until we reach financial freedom.
