I was doing great…lost 16 pounds…and then went on vacation for 3 weeks. Needless to say, I put some weight back on…6 pounds of it. UGH.
Well…my sister just got engaged and is getting married in March. I now I have serious goal to head for! Back on the “lose weight” wagon!

I have been dieting for 2 months and have officially lost 16 pounds…not bad! I still have 14 pounds to go…and a lifetime of maintaining it!

I have been stagnant for the past few weeks…no weight loss, but no weight gain! I can feel the frustration starting to build, so I am returning to phase 1 of South Beach to hopefully get my body back in gear. We’ll see how things go after 2 weeks back on this…it will be hard to give up those few carbs I’ve been eating, but I need to continue with the weight loss or I’ll give up.

I lost a pound this week…a little discouraging because it feels like it will take forever to lose the weight, but I know this is the healthy way to lose weight. You are only supposed to lose 1-2 pounds in this phase of the diet. I actually had a few “cheats” this week with Mother’s Day, so I’m thankful I still lost something!

I was able to add some carbs in this week. While this was good for my tummy, it slows down the weight loss…but I’m still losing weight!

I have officially been on this diet for 2 weeks and I have lost 9 pounds! It is so nice that you lose the weight fast the first week becaues it motivates you to lose more.
I’m now on phase 2 of South Beach which means I gradually add in a few good carbs each day. That means fruit, whole wheat products, corn, carrots, etc. You can also “sparingly” add dark chocolate. I think I’d rather add the chocolate than any other carb! BUT I know that isn’t the healthy thing to do!
So…9 pounds down, 21 to go.

Well, it has been one week on the South Beach Diet and I have lost 7 pounds! (23 to go) Hallelujah! If you aren’t familiar with the South Beach Diet, you usually lose 8-13 pounds the first 2 weeks and then about 2 pounds a week after that. So far so good.
I did this diet a year ago and did fine, but it is much easier the second time around. I already sick of eating eggs, but I’ve come up with different things to soothe my appetite for other meals. I have also been excercising this time around, so that helps…even though I have NO ENERGY right now. Once I start adding in carbs, hopefully my energy levels will pick up!

The South Beach Diet has been much easier to do the second time around. I know what I like, what works, etc. Plus, I’m not working this time and tempted by all the treats at school. It is day 3 and I’ve lost 3 pounds. So…I guess that means 27 to go?

I’m starting the South Beach Diet tomorrow. I had good success with this last Spring…until I had my cancer scare. I thought the 2 first weeks were somewhat difficult (mostly because my children and husband still ate carbs I like), but it wasn’t too hard and I rarely felt hungry. Hopefully I will stay motivated and have success in weight loss again. I really need to get moving…I have 30 or more pounds to lose!
