I’m eliminating body wash from my life (thanks, Brit!). Granted, I haven’t used it in a very long time, but still. I’m loving my bar soap, and I’m going to start making my own soon.

I’m so much more motivated once cute things are involved. Really, why in the hell would I want to use forty little paper cups each day at the water cooler when I can use a $.99 dinosaur shakey cup?! With glitter!
Likewise, pink hearts = way more appealing than paper towels.
...cloth napkins? At home, mos’ def (I don’t really use napkins at home that much anyway). And certainly while eating at work.
I realised some time this afternoon that I’m not much of an activist. I don’t really think much about the environment at all and I’m certainly not passionate about it.
I’m just kind of doing these things because they feel like the correct things to do. The sensible and personally right things to do. I’m certainly no activist. I find myself inspired by the things other people do and if what I do inspires other people, then great.
I’ll also get myself a small, cute plastic cup to use at the water cooler at work. Most people, including myself, just take a teensy amount of water in each little paper cup-a couple of gulps worth-usually I’m in a hurry to do whatever, and the dancers only need a few sips worth. I probably go through at least six little paper cups a day, depending on how dehydrated I feel and whether I’m in the mood to sneak my bottle of juice into the dressing room.
Right then! Small plastic water cup it is!
...that I had access to my embarassingly extensive fabric stash at home, because then I could make myself new tote shopping bags and washcloths and such. You know, instead of spending more money that I don’t have.
I HATE being separated from all my sewing and craft supplies.
I’ll be back soon enough though, I suppose, tote-bagging it is definitely one of my favourite new things to do. The ENTIRE CABINETFULL of plastic shopping bags I’ve accumulated is more than I’ll ever use to line my trash out here.
I just got a really good idea—it’s not original, I know, but it’s a good one!
I’m going to start carrying a wash cloth in my purse so that I don’t need to use paper towels in public restrooms. I’ve heard that this is pretty much the norm in Japan, actually; that fancy-scmancy wash cloths are popular because they need them to use in public restrooms.
