FINALLY! I've actually STARTED it!

Have tossed up some of the fabrics I collected in South Africa, Swaziland (gotta love those batiks!), Lesotho and Mozambique – and am finally beginning to create my Africa memory quilt. Plan on tucking in various bits of shell, ostrich feather (from riding one in RSA!), coins, etc.
Will likely take me months to finish it, but it feels good to revive memories of my 6 week backpacking adventure and stitch them into an art quilt.
