My grandmother on my mother’s side played violin very well (or so I’m told; I never knew her). My mother HAS her mother’s violin but it’s in terrible shape. When we went to see if it could be fixed up, the guy said that it wasn’t worth it unless it was purely for sentimental value—not to actually play on. Hence, I need to get my hands on a decent, working violin to start this goal.
I played violin for a year in fourth grade, but I broke my wrist half way through and wasn’t even allowed to play in the final concert. SOOO, my Muses were against me. Now that I’m grown, I can take my Muses and tell them to shove it; I’m going to learn to play violin whether they like it or not!
