Going pretty good – I have a regular practice journal, I just have to finally sit down and sum up the hours already… Now that I have a shitload of exams [decided on different study program – non-music related, also some unexpected stuff occurred], I can’t do 7 hours, but I can easily do 5 hours per day, except when I have lots of lessons. That sucks.

I actually thought that when I’ll be transferred to another school [which is closer to where I live] I’ll have more time, but my schedule is so… pathetic now. Aaagh >__< well… at least I know that I’ll surely pass all my… 5 exams… which guarantees me a good university and all that…
eh, I’ll think of a way to make more time for practice. At least I have a few hours every day to improve finger agility, which is definitely better than nothing! In fact, it’s pretty good. They even say, that 2-4 hours per day is enough to improve your playing… maybe I’m just being a bit… too extreme with all these schedules.
11.06 – 5 hours. I constantly fall asleep at about 17:00. I really need to fix my sleeping habits or… or I really need to fix them. But, on the other hand, it’s not that bad.
11.07 – 10 hours. Thumb technique went great, found lots of cool bass inspiration… will need to get more. Still working on scales and all.
11.08 – 6,5 hours. Pretty good, since I woke up at 14:30… Would have been more, but I had problems with one technique. Got lots of stuff on music theory, harmony, composition, and some videos on that slap thing that I can’t do quite like I’d like to.
11.09 – 6 hours. Pretty intense. Today I concentrated on note reading, learned all the intervals, tried to name notes from ear, but not much worked out.
11.10 – Went to the hospital, had my operation. I got back two days ago, and can’t practice because I can’t move my eyes horizontally and I can’t open them properly. The worst part is that the sutures won’t melt for at least another week. This… so… sucks. Well, when I’ll be able to open my eyes normally, I’ll at least be able to do music theory or something, but now I can at least write something here, because the screen is bright and the letters are big…
Okay, so I need to fix my sleeping habits and this will be totally perfect:
11.05 – 6,5 hours. Did lots of revision and wrote down what exactly I need to improve and how to do it. Would have been more if my brother wasn’t such a bitch and didn’t nag me to help him with his costume for a horror-theme party or something… Nevermind.
11.06 – 5 hours. I had to take a nap about 1 hour after practice due to being exhausted from school and constantly going to sleep at 2 A.M.. But I’m happy with my progress.
11.07 – 6,5 hours. I lost about 6 hours just because I woke up at 14:30 or so, and I had to stop afterwards because I had problems with one exercise and decided to search for more information on it.
Well, tomorrow should be good.
This is actually a very lame rip-off of CreativeHeart’s “Practice guitar 10,000 hours”... but that won’t stop me from doing it. Today, in school, I estimated the average time I could spend practicing everyday… I counted that it might be possible for me to practice for 57 hours on regular weeks and 74 hours on holidays. Starting my countdown tomorrow!
