Has anyone had any luck replacing sorry with something else (like excuse me)? I feel that may be easier than going cold turkey, and also more polite :). This often comes up for me at work where there are often several people trying to pass through a narrow aisle. I am not sorry for being there and getting my work done! I am also not sure if I yield too often or not enough. I don’t want to be bossy, but I don’t want to compromise my time, my posture, my ability to stand squarely on my own two feet.
