become fluent in spanish

I spent another trip to Colombia and fell for a girl there. Talk about motivation!. My spanish continues to get better slowly. One person said they thought maybe with 3 months in Colombia I would be fluent or close.

Can’t do that right now, but good to hear progress!

My trip to Colombia helped with this. I still didn’t improve as much as I could as there were a lot of non-spanish speakers there for the wedding.

Guess I will have to go back to Colombia this month!

Well, I never did end up finding a spanish school in Chicago over the summer (I never got around to it-work was stressful). Didn’t take spanish in the fall because it was only offered at 8am!!!! I can’t speak english at 8am.

I am taking classes again as of Feb. It started out slow but I managed to give two good presentations on Cuba in spanish so I think I am getting back on track again. We are now talking about LatAm as a whole now which I am much more knowledgeable about which means I should talk and thus improve a lot more.

Trying to find a conversational spanish class for the summer so I can continue to improve and be more confident for work.
