be quick to listen and slow to speak

There are days where I KNOW I’ve said too much! Poor hubby absorbs it admirably…...bless the man. He is my sounding board in so many things. Yesterday, I was sharing some of my work frustrations and he was trying to be helpful and offer suggestions. Unfortunately, the suggestions were just frustrating me…......he simply didn’t understand that there was no easy fix for the mess I have at work right now. I should have just listened to his suggestions and said…..”Thanks”. But I didn’t. Note to self: quick to listen and slow to speak ALSO applies to hubby.

I really aspire to do this well! Improvement here will help me in my vocation AND my personal life. My goal is to listen carefully to those around me…........allowing them to fully express themselves before I jump in with words.
