OK….......in the last week I have installed several things in my kitchen.
I put up 3 wall hooks for pot holders, mitts.
I installed a cool iron holder that also holds the spray starch and the lint roller.
I assembled and hung a new bulletin board in my kitchen.
I put up a specialty hook to hold my broom and dustpan.
All with a hammer and screw driver…..........no drill…..........but I still can’t help but be just a little bit proud! LOL!

I’m actually pretty proud of myself for learning how to fix the string thing on the weed whacker today…....you know the wildly rotating plastic string that cuts all the weeds down. Every time it would break off I never knew how to fix it. Well, today I figured it out…........and it really wasn’t all that difficult! I guess I should have tried to figure that one out a long time ago.

My honey does not have time to do this stuff. As much as I would like for him to fix stuff around our house, I just need to learn to do it myself. I started today with something that’s been bugging me for a while. The glass part of a bulb broke off in my kitchen overhead light before Christmas. I haven’t been able to get the metal base part out of the fixture. For all this time, it’s been depressingly dim in my kitchen.
Decided today to go to Home Depot and ask for help on how to safely pry the thing out without electrocuting myself. They sold me the appropriate tool. I got it out…...without zapping myself and now
my kitchen is a so much nicer place to be:)
Coming soon…...fixing the gate on my fence.
