Keyboard finally arrived via UPS on Friday. Good stuff.
Though, something odd I noticed: while I am happy to have it, I felt a great let down the moment after I set it up. I think one of the weird things with these goals is, you get so hyped up about achieving them, but the moment you do, you realize, huh, it didn’t really change my life THAT much, or make me THAT much happier….

...I decided something is better than nothing, so I went on Amazon and ordered a Casio Privia PX-110. Not a piano, not an acoustic piano proper, but I couldn’t take it anymore, and saving up for a good piano would have taken too many years (given that I am currently a poor grad student). I’d been looking at the Casio Privia for years, I think the PX-110 was $600-700 a few years ago when I considered buying it, but I managed to get it for $388.88 (+shipping & handling) on Amazon. Hurrah!
When it finally arrives, and in good condition, then I will mark this as “I’ve done this.” But not before. Don’t wanna jinx myself, it could still get here damaged, or get lost, who knows. I hope I’m not violating the rules of this goal, since it’s not really a “piano”, it’s a keyboard. But a really good one, so…close enough.

...and I was so happy. And then I woke up and for a moment, I thought it was still true. But then I realized it was a dream and nearly cried.
So, I think this is my subconscious saying, I’d better go get myself a piano soon.
I’ve been playing since I was small, but ever since I’ve moved out on my own, I’ve had no piano in my apartment. No space, no money. I keep thinking it’s a frivolous thing to get, I don’t need it, I can put it off until I have more money and a real house or condo or something.
But I think I really need to go get one now.
