visit Iceland

Just bought the new Lonely Planet on Scandinavian Europe. Hope I can make it over there in the next year or so.

Technically I’ve already visited since I had to change flights in Reykjavik. A strange airport experience—like a time machine to the 50s. And apparently I could have walked out into Iceland without anyone noticing as the directions to passport control were, well, non-existent and it appeared that you could simply walk out of the terminal. Kind of a ramble but that sort of conveys the experience.

Also chatted with an Icelandic woman on the plane and just studied the amazing landscape from the air and both of these things added to my desire to return and really visit the country.
