Clean out the closets

I got the big orange basket that I bought at World Market two years ago and started throwing clothes into it. I used these rules: 1) have not worn in a year, 2) truly worn looking—give it up already, and 3) you will not be that size (larger or smaller again).

This weekend is perfect for doing this since I have 5 days off and I believe I will have company next weekend.

Of course I already burned 2 days, but I really must apply myself to it. If I can just tear myself away from moo .

Well, I am not taking the goal off the list, but I haven’t even looked “behind the curtain” for months.

I am thinking of getting a roommate though and would definitely have to get all of the junk out of the front room for that to happen.

Part of the problem is my friends keep moving to Europe and leaving their stuff with me. I had my own stuff in storage for 7 years and I sprung it 2 years ago but I have the vestiges that I haven’t sorted through yet. And then there was the partner I broke up with 9 years ago whose junk I still have—books mostly. This means the front bedroom AKA the guestroom has a closet full of STUFF, some of it mine and some of it not. I cannot bring myself to commit to taking care of this yer, but I know I will feel so much better when the closet is liberated.
