I finished season 3 yesterday. I am skipping all of the graphic sex. The depiction of sexuality in this show would have been rated at least NC-17 15 years ago.
I still agree that the show is valuable in the way that it addresses issues of race, class, and poverty. There are no simple answers to “the drug problem.”
Moving Along - More Friday

Somewhere in the middle of season 3. It is depressing and sort of a busman’s holiday, since I work with clients who are court-mandated substance abusers.

Shipping the second to last disk of season 2 back to netflix Monday. Final two episodes should be here no later than Thursday. Interesting.
Season Two of the Wire

I’m in the middle of season 2 of The Wire, right after Dee got killed in prison.
It is a great series, illustrating the complexities of daily life for many people. They are my ‘peeps,’ as I work as a substance abuse counselor in the criminal justice system.
I read The Corner last year and highly recommend it as well.
