I called my ex and told him the specifics of what the paralegals said. Neither one of us will be able to afford this for the next couple of months, but at least this way, the call isn’t hanging over my head. He also gave me some excellent pointers on how to increase the water pressure in my kitchen sink. Not a bad phone call at all!

Now all I have to do is come up with four hundred bucks.

So I called a couple of paralegals in my area – it’s going to be about double what I thought it would be. Which sucks, but what am I going to do? Not pay it? Stay married to him for the rest of my life. So it’s going to be between eight hundred and a thousand bucks. Hopefully I’ll be able to get it done by Christmas. Next step, call my ex and tell him about the price.

I figure that’s a start, isn’t it? I hadn’t spoken to him in three years. The ball is slowly rolling!!
