Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

mmbop by Hanson

I must admit I was such a big fan of Hanson. I was about 13 or 14 when they first released mmmbop and I loved it!! I went on to become a big fan and would buy every single and watch them on every UK TV show they were on. I even started to chexk out the things they said they like, like Taylor said he liked Dr Pepper so I tried that and Issac said he liked Buritos so I search high and low for some and eventually found some. I loved their first two albums and think they are still amazing albums and listen to them now and then. So this song started it all for me all those years ago.

Let me Entertain you by Robbie Williams

This truly is a great song that you can sing along to and dance around mad with an air guitar lol. I have loved this song ever since it came out and used to put it on repeat and sing along at the top of my lungs. It’s yet another song that hasn’t ages and sounds as fresh now as it didn’t when it came out and it also has a pretty cool video too.

Gangsters Paradise by Coolio`

What a great song . It still sounds fresh all these years after it was first released. It has a great beat, great sting sound during it and the gospel choir makes it such s great song. The chorus is great to sing along to and it’s a song I can just listen to time and time again.

Maneater by Hall and Oats

I really like this song. It’s one of those grest songs that never ages and that you can also sing along to. This song reminds me of different parts of my life. It’s just a great song!!

Fairground by Simply Red

This song reminds me of being 13 and having a massive crush on my brothers friend who was in the army. Everytime the drum beats goes “bum bum bum” it reminds me of marching army boots and of course of my brothers friend. I really loved this song, and still do, because it’s so catchy and enjoyable to listen to and of course it reminded me of my crush. I used to love it when it was played on and radio, I’d always turn it up loud and sing along to it and now it’s amazing to listen to because it reminds me of the time when I had that crush and also about my life at that time.

Stars by Simply Red

Reminds me of being young and care free and running round with no worries in the world. It’s a great song that I can sing along to and really get into. Now it means different things to me but it does bring memorys back to me of being so young and care free once upon a time.
The video is good to watch too.

The Wind Beneath My Wings By Bette Midler

What a beautiful song. It almost brings me to tears when I hear this song, it’s so touching and moving. It’s from the film Beaches which makes me cry everytime I see it, the song is wonderful and captures the true meaning of the film. It’s wonderful to listen to and brings lots of memorys to me.

Lost in the Shadows by Lou Gramm

What a fantastic song!! It reminds me of the film it’s from (Lost Boys) which was amazing and the song really stands out and is great to listen to as well as sing along to. You can view it here

She's Like The Wind by Patrick Swayze

This is just such a beautiful song, I always get lost in the lyrics of this song. It’s from one of my all time favorite movies and when I hear it I can see the part of the film, where it’s from, playing out in my head.
I’d love Patrick to sing this song to me, it’s lovely and amazing. Here is the video.

White Wedding by Billy Idol

It’s another great song from the 80’s. Great guitar all the way through, great lyrics and it’s just one of those songs that I can listen to time and time again.
It’s a great video too!!
