I’ve not done any study for about two weeks now and I’m meant to try and do around 15 hours a week and I just don’t seem to be motivated and now I’m behind. I was ahead which is a good thing but now I am far behind so I need to get through it as much as I can in the next five days so I can get my assignment started in hope that I can get a little ahead.

On Saturday I will be three weeks behind which is not good. I’ve been too busy with work to do any and then I got sick so still couldn’t do any.
I’ve managed to get a little done this afternoon but not as much as I’d like or need to get done and also because I am still trying to get used to studying again it is hard for me to sit studying for as long as I’d need or want to do.
I think I should be able to get quite a bit done tomorrow which is good but I feel a little under preasure because I don’t have long to do the five weeks of course work before I have to start on my next assignment.



This past week... 22 months ago

...hasn’t really gone too well on the study front. I was meant to watch Titantic and just couldn’t be bothered. I then had about 40 more pages of reading to do before I could start my assignment but again that didn’t get done.
I have a 2000 word assignment due on Thursday so today I thought I better sit down and do some. I read the question and thought I know what I want the answer to be and started. I’ve done the main framework of the introduction and I’ve started the main part but now I’m stuck. I’ve done around 600 words and I need another 1200-1400 words. So I need to go through my course book as fast as I can and write notes so I can basically back up my argument as much as I can and improve my introudction before working on my conclusion. I’m hoping to do at least 500 words tomorrow on top of writing notes to help me with my argument.

Today I did 90 minutes studying plus I watched the original version of Cape Fear. I think I’ve seen it before, it’s black and white and normally I don’t watch B&W but I watched this all the way through and thought it was ok/good.
I could of done more but after working also I was pretty tired so 90 minutes was enough because the film was almost just over 90 minutes so I did 3 hours in total.
I have some reading to do and then I can watched the second (1991) version of Cape Fear. I am looking forward to see the differences between the films.

Today I did 90 minutes of study. I actually decided on 90 minutes last night before I went to bed. I knew I’d manage to do 90 minutes and that it wouldn’t be too much whereas if I’d put 3 hours or even 2 hours I’d probably not get it done.

I’m hoping to do at least 90 minutes again tomorrow. I will get to the section where I have to watch the original version of Cape Fear so I will also watch that. Then there is more reading and I have to watch the version of Cape Fear that was made in 1991. I don’t think I will get to that part but I shall see how things go, if not I am sure I will watch that at some point over the weekend.



Today... 23 months ago

...I have just done one hour of study.
I haven’t studied in such a long time so it’s hard to get back into it especially with being ill but at least I managed an hour which is better than nothing.
I actually read as far as I could because I am now up to the section where I have to watch a film (Citizen Kane) before I can continue.
I need to complete this book, the coursework, and watch the films in the next two weeks. Then that will give me a week to complete the assignment.
There is a lot to do in the next two weeks so I hope I manage to get at least 2-3 hours done daily.

I must admit I’m not looking forward to watching the film, I don’t think it will be the type of film I will enjoy.
I am hoping to watch it this evening so I can carry on with studying tomorrow, I just hope I am able to sit still and watch it all the way through in one go.

I’m going to use this goal for my study diary for the next month too.

My course started 11 days ago and I’ve not done any. I’ve been full of a cold/flu thing and I’ve just been too ill to do anything and I hate that. I hate falling behind because I hate having to catch up because it’s not the easiest thing to do.
I did think I’d be well enough to start working on the course but the last couple of days my health has gone back a few days so I’m feeling as bad as I did at the end of last week.
I’m hoping to start this in the next couple of days but I can’t do anything until I’m feeling much better than I’m feeling now.
I have 20 hours from last week to catch up on as well as 10 this week too so that’s 30 hours so I hope to get better as soon as I can.

My new course officially started today and I need to do 15-20 hours a week on this course (more around assignment time) to keep up with it and be ready to do assignments on time.
I knew I wouldn’t get started today because Saturday’s are always taken up with shopping etc so I don’t get much done opn Saturday’s.
I was hoping to get at least three hours done tomorrow but I don’t know if that will happen because I don’t feel too well and think I’m coming down with a cold or something. I’m already on cold medication just in case and hopefully I won’t end up with a heavy cold.
Even if I only manage an hour tomorrow it’s better than nothing but I really hope I’m not getting ill or if I am I hope it’s not for too long because I really need to get into this course and the sooner the better.
I hope I don’t need to work on it more than 5 days a week and that on one of the days I can have a 5-6 hour study session just to get through it all quicker.
