I have a pretty irrational disgust of slugs, so it was an achievement to touch one for the first time this year. Strange, because I’m happy to eat snails, shellfish, etc..

Not really fear, but I ran so hard yesterday morning that I nearly shit in my shorts and very nearly cried. It was cold and windy so my eyes were wet anyway, so I think I’d have got away with it. The underwear violation would have been harder to disguise. Shame I didn’t have my watch on; I think it was a personal best.
This is not necessarily fear, but something which you are reluctant to do but know you ought to. Things for me would include: going up to fight a line of people at judo; pushing myself a bit too hard on a run, or in the gym; making a phone call; telling someone something bad about themselves; jumping out of an aeroplane; climbing and abseiling; the list goes on. I don’t think I manage to do this anything like every day, but these are good things to scare yourself with: bad things would include driving too fast, drinking yourself to near death, punching your boss, etc..
