Oh, well. I have to pay off $8300. I could do this in a year if I paid an extra $500 a month. It would, of course, be nice to have that extra money. Time to tinker with the budget again.

....but I don’t have the raise, yet. Still, I was able to make November’s payment ahead of time, and it was a double payment. Every little dollar helps.
If I keep making my current loan payments every month, I will have this loan paid off in 2011, about one year ahead of schedule. However, I may be in line for a promotion and pay raise this month. If that goes through, I’ll have extra money to pay against the loan every month. Hopefully it will be enough to make a double payment each month, and pay off this loan in two years instead of four years.
I’ve taken my state income tax refund and put it towards the credit union loan. Nothing massive, just $200, but every little bit helps.
