Recently, this goal became more necessary in my life, after my doctor prescribed an antidepressant that’s main purpose seems to be absorbing all of the liquid in my body. It takes the edge of desperation off, but that’s about it. I’m still morose, but now with added cottonmouth.

...I drank 4 glasses of water today, one glass of orange juice, and three cans of coke. But at least the healthy drinks outweighed the bad ones today.
For the past two days, I’ve gotten this accomplished handily. The key has been to fill up a 24-ounce water bottle, and to keep it with me throughout the day. I am also under doctor’s orders right now to keep myself hydrated, and I’d rather get my fluids from a plastic jug than an IV.
Not doing so well on the “Drink 24 oz” goal. A good start for the first four days, then I went into a Coke overload because I haven’t been getting enough sleep at night (4 to 5 hrs) and need the caffeine boost. I still want to accomplish this task, so I’m going to limit caffeine consumption to the morning, and drink water in the afternoons.
The last time I did this consistently was back in college. And back then, I had no problems with excess weight, my skin was fabulous, I didn’t know what a kidney stone was, and otherwise felt great.
I’m drinking enough fluids each day, but not the right kinds, I know. I’ll have two or three cans of diet soda, I’ll drink skim milk, I’ll drink sweet tea and orange juice, but lately I’m lucky if out of all the fluid I consume, 16 ounces of it is nice cold water.
I’m going to set a goal for myself to drink at least 24 ounces of water each day for the next 28 days beginning tomorrow morning. I’ll start with 24 ozs and if I can make that consistent, I’ll try 48 ozs.
