save regularly

a small amount each week for the last few months, it’s far from a goldmine but I feel very positive about having it :)

seeing as my business is in very early stages and I currently have more going out than coming in this goal is a tough one temporarily. I am however continuing to save the odd euro or two here and there and depositing it into my giant sealed tin. (It requires a tin opener to open it! which prevents me from stealing from it in times of desperation).

I’m sure I’ve about €50 in it at this stage.
Once I have a regular income which exceeds my basic outgoings I will make sure that I have a regular deposit into a savings, possibly the credit union account, but I’d also like to use a separate account. Possibly even use bonds as a means of savings and be in with a chance to win!

in Balbriggan, I have one already in Marino where I used to live but I figure if I have one here in the town I live it will be easier when on the odd occassion I need to call in, plus if I start saving here I’ll be able to take out a loan, if I should need to at any point in the future :-)

Also I think I’m going to buy some prize bonds…

goal, and I might buy come prize bonds :-) It’s savings, but with the opportunity to win more money, although no interest is accrued there’s a very good chance of prizes which will equate to interest!

mmmmm… only negative is that I’d have to buy them from the post office in Ireland, and i hate their customer service, it’s diabolical… I was in there a few weeks ago and needed to pay a bill, and buy several books of stamps. I was told I couldn’t pay by debit card or credit card for stamps at all, and if I wanted to pay for the bill with a card I had to tell her before hand!! How ridiculous!! I didnt have any cash so I had to leave the post office, walk to an ATM and return to pay. I made a complaint to the girl, and she just kept on repeating the rules, I asked her to please pass on my comments to her manager which she begrudglingly agreed. They just have no concept of customer service, and they wonder why they’re not making money doh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can only complete once I have an income :-)

I am keeping it in my awareness though, and will include this in my financial planning :-)
