it’s not perfect but it’s fully functional working office, clear of all the boxes! :-)



my office is actually quite organised now... 19 months ago

I’ve cheated a little in that there are boxes of my mum and dad’s stuff, including photo’s that I’ve simply moved to my bedroom, and haven’t put into the attic yet but the office is organised!!!

it’s busy, not perfect but it is organised, I wouldn’t feel ashamed having someone in here.



I processed and filed 23 months ago

my mail from the last few days, without adding it to the “To Do” pile!!

This I am pleased with :-)
My aim is to stop creating a backlog!! and that is actually more important than clearing the existing backlog, seems back to front but it’s not!!



I still need to get 2 years ago

an “In progress” File, I compiled an order, so I need to place it and start using it when it comes :-)



I want to do some organising in my office today 2 years ago

and I think I will.

This is making gradual progress, and I’ve picked out some storage drawers that will help me with this too :-)

There’s a few boxes that I could move up to the attic but I’m afraid if I do I won’t bring them back down, because they have the family photo’s I want to scan in, but this isn’t a priority right now… so I could move them up out of the way and then set a reminder to bring them down again, say in February! .... mmmmmm… need to think about this one



I think I've 2 years ago

figured out something… the things I leave on my desk are the things I want to do something with, it’s as if I’m afraid if I put them away they won’t get done.

A better way to deal with this would be to add them to my list and then create a “In Progress” file where they can hang out until I get them marked off the list, when I’ll file them :0)

It’s great knowing that things should be put away but quite another to learn how to actually do this regularly!!



I did a bit of this last night 2 years ago

after I wrote my last entry and wasn’t best pleased with my own progress!! I realised my desk was becoming high with paperwork again wasn’t pleasant, I reduced it considerably!! :-)

now I realise I havee 2 bills I haven’t paid yet!! I will pay them now I know !



I'm stalled on this one 2 years ago

I did something positive by uncovering stuff I had in the cupboard I keep my art stuff in, but some of the stuff I haven’t put back yest and there is again a big pile of paperwork on my desk I need to tackle!!!! mmmmm…. still it is beteter than it was… and I’m going to make it even better!! :-)

I put the mat own Imoved from my bedroom, cleared out the box the pc used to live in, emptied a box of photo’s, hung up my clothes to dry.
Used a folder to store a piece of paper work I don’t want to file yet, but don’t want to clutter my desk with!

pc re-homed :-)

There was a mix up of where I needed to bring it which meant I couldn’t do it last night, but I did it first thing this morning :-)

I feel really really good about this!!!

This is such a big change for me, usually I think about doing these things, that I “should” do them, then feel bad because I haven’t. Gosh it’s so much better actually doing them!! :-D
