and then decided not to post them until they were all done.
Yesterday I changed my mind and posted the ones I had, so a few of you might find a nice little surprise in your mail box soon.
For the others that won’t receive one yet, I WILL send you a xmas card too, that I am determined.
Why? Why am I determined to send xmas cards in June, July, August, however long it takes?
Because I am undoing an old pattern where I didn’t complete things.
My new pattern is that I complete things, and I’m getting quicker and quicker and completing things that I said I would do.
I have 20 cards ready to post!!! omg I never realised it takes so long to write christmas cards!! I started about 3.30pm and by 6.30pm I’d completed 20!! That’s 3 hours to write 20 christmas cards!! Ok, I was chatting… ok I did touch up some of the cards I’d made previously…. but 3 hours for only 20 cards!
I cut out addresses which I’d printed out, glued them to envelopes, stuck on stamps and airmail stickers… wrote names to and from in the cards!! I really am surprised it took so long!!
Now all I have to do is post them and keep on writing more… 20 done… about 70 more to go!!!
Not everyone will recieve home-made cards, and for this I am sorry … maybe next year… I’ve put start making christmas cards into my diary for 2008 in September!! :-)
Perhaps I’ll continue to make them throughout the year though, because I’m planning on resuming college in september so I’ll know I’ll be very busy!!
I still haven’t sent out those cards, I’ve done so much preparation, but the final assimilation of writing them, addressing and stamping envelopes still needs to be done. I plan on doing some on Friday afternoon.
You have 2 choices …
Option 1 You can consider that my card is late when you receive it.
Option 2 You can consider that I’m extremely well organised and early for christmas 2008!
(Personally I prefer option 2, but please don’t let me influence you, feel free to choose the option of your own desire!)
:-D
i love the way these ones are made… just using glitter glue drew on the outline of the tree and stuck a star on top! Voila!!
I gotta get writing them!!! :-D
This is one I made on Friday… it’s really quick and simple to make, just cut out 2 tree shapes, one big one small, stick them on… stick a star on top!
them all out! Gulp!!!!
I’ll do it though… and as everyone has been telling me, if they’re late they’re late… it’s nice to get a bit of christmas cheer even after the holidays…
thanks everyone for all your supportive posts, really helped me!
with the intention of just making a few!
wait for it….
how many d’ya think I’ve made since last night?
How many??
Do you think I’m a machine?!!!???
Are you ready??.....
I made 63 Christmas cards between last night and this morning!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
omg I can’t believe I made so many!! I did come up with a great design that’s simple and doesn’t take too long, so I made quite a few of those, then I came up with another idea which also was quick and easy to do… And I let go of the those silly stamps, they never seemed to print out as clearly or as bright as I’d have liked so I hand wrote Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year on them all!!
weallareon is smiling cos she’s really proud of herself! What a change from yesterday!! I’ve impressed myself totally on this one!
:-D
I think! So I have prepared somewhat…
I’ve just printed onto photo paper a picture i took of some christmas decorations I’ve put up in my home, i figure these will look nice on christmas cards, although not quite as “crafty” as I’d like, they’ll still be home-made and show a little bit of me :-D
