become a better networker

I went to a party tonight. I actually forced myself out of my box and introduced myself to a couple of people. I had a great discussion with one lady who’s going to be a wonderful contact. And I also had a long meandering discussion with a competetive horse rider who’s father works with my father. It was fun. We’re a similar age (after 21 it gets easier LOL).

I actually used a lot of the things I learned from “Hello, My Name Is Scott” and I was surprised at how much fun actually had at the party. Onwards and upwards, I suppose.

I hate networking. That’s the problem. In order to be a better networker I need to:

Attend networking events/ social events

Talk to people I don’t know.

Talk about my business.

Pass out my cards. (Find the big box of cards I know that I have in my room somewhere.)

Post my cards where ever I can.

Be consistent in talking to people when I’m out.
